Oceanic System Aquariums: Bowfronts And Corners

Aquariums have become a part of homes around the world. They are one part fun decoration and one part entertaining pets. Especially popular in the last several years are oceanic aquariums. Oceanic aquariums help to simulate the salt water environment to allow people to enjoy the colorful aquatic life formerly found only in the ocean. But oceanic aquariums can be very expensive, so if someone is going to purchase an expensive aquarium for their pricey fish, they are going to want to make sure that it's the most attractive aquarium possible.

When selecting oceanic aquariums, one thing to make sure of is how the canopy matches the interior of the home. While the interior of the aquarium can always be changed, it is rather difficult to alter the exterior canopy. Companies like Oceanic Systems can create a very attractive, modern looking aquarium with curved glass and a canopy in a color and style that matches the interior of its home. Oceanic Systems oceanic aquariums are designed to be attractive and interesting even if the interior of the home is changed as well.

One of the most popular newer models of tanks are bowfront aquariums. Bowfront aquariums are unique in that they are convex, that is they bulge outward, rather than the standard straight glass tanks. Bowfront aquariums require a special tank and filtration system, but they make for excellent oceanic aquariums, as they tend to be larger than standard aquariums, and the cabinets have plenty of room for oceanic aquariums' extra equipment. The cabinets for bowfront tanks tend to be a little more pricey, however, because they need to be specially constructed to contain the unique design.

Another popular decorative model aquarium are corner aquariums. Corner aquariums are designed to take up the corner of a room, so that they don't take up a particularly great amount of space. Even if they are larger, they still accentuate what might otherwise be a boring part of the room. Corner aquariums aren't really special in their design, but the cabinets are still costly. Corner oceanic aquariums make a nice addition to a room without making it seem cluttered, and a nicely designed aquarium can add a nice bit of color to a room.

Building oceanic aquariums is possible but difficult, so most people decide to purchase aquariums from specialty dealers or manufacturers. The standard bowfront oceanic aquariums will go for around $850-$1,000 for a moderately sized 90 gallon tank. A similar corner tank will cost about $1,200. It is important to remember that these prices do not include the costs of filtration systems, salt water, environmental reef, sand, or, the fish. These items can raise the price of the oceanic aquariums several hundred dollars.

They are fairly expensive decorations, but oceanic aquariums can be a fun, classy addition to homes, businesses, and offices. Oceanic aquariums from companies like Oceanic Systems are very modern and look great in any space. For open spaces or roomier tanks, buyers should take a look at the bowfront aquariums, which have a unique, but not exactly space friendly look. Those looking to conserve a little bit of space, but still want a larger aquarium should look into corner aquariums, which look great and can be tucked away a bit. Either way, modern oceanic aquariums are a great way to add a little something to an otherwise lacking room.
